About Me

Carol Hunsberger –

I hail from Findlay, Ohio, where I graduated from Findlay High School and Bowling Green State University. At FHS, I was fortunate to learn from an exceptional art teacher, Jeanne Butler. An accomplished oil painter and colorist, Mrs. Butler taught me to channel my vision and skills into creating art.

While at BGSU, I devoted nearly all my time to playing the oboe, which led me to discover graphic design as a practical avenue for creativity and a sustainable career. I graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. My first position took me to Columbus, Ohio, where I worked as a production artist and retoucher (airbrush) in retail advertising for a couple of years. I later became an art director for an audiovisual company, where I was encouraged by outside service professionals to start my own freelance business, which I continue to this day.

My freelance career has been diverse, encompassing video editing, illustration, printed brochures, publications, advertising, web and social media design, and photography. During this time, I also had the opportunity to teach graphic communications as an adjunct professor at Franklin University.

As my design work has decreased, I am returning to my roots in fine art—particularly drawing and painting, some of which is showcased on this site.

My passions revolve around creation and the Creator, and His Son Jesus Christ, from whom all color, light, and beauty radiate. I cherish my wonderful, talented, and creative family. I enjoy spending time with friends birdwatching, kayaking, golfing, and road-tripping in my MINI Cooper. I am delighted to spend winters on Cape San Blas, Florida, eagerly anticipating the arrival of my snowbird friends.

And, of course, I cannot forget my beloved corgis: I have been owned and loved by four Pembroke Welsh Corgis—Corki, Chester, Cooper, and Hope. Currently, I am enamored with my Cardigan Welsh Corgi, Andi, the Adorable. Her adventures include therapy dog visits, a little herding, playing with our Cardigan family, and joyfully meeting everyone we encounter daily.

And now... Andi has a baby sister! Sterling Silver "Sky" has joined our family, keeping us on our toes!
